A Deep Nostalgia alternative without a subscription

Deep Nostalgia and LiveMemory, by MyHeritage, animate old photos well, but beyond the free tier they come with a MyHeritage subscription. If you just want to animate a few family photos, paying per photo is usually cheaper. Incarn, which publishes this site, works that way: €1.99 for one photo, down to €0.80 per photo in a pack of 50, with no subscription.

Full disclosure: this site is published by Incarn. The information about MyHeritage comes from MyHeritage's own pages, checked on September 28, 2026. Prices change: check them on MyHeritage before deciding.

When MyHeritage is the better choice

If you already use MyHeritage for your family tree or your records, the animations are part of your plan and LiveMemory gives good results: use it, there is no reason to pay twice.

When paying per photo makes more sense

If you have a handful of photos to animate, do not keep your family tree on MyHeritage, or simply do not want a yearly renewal, paying per photo costs less: five photos cost €6.99 on Incarn, and the credits never expire.
